Our Three Castles Tour takes in the 3 main castles around Cardiff. Your day will start with a visit to Cardiff Castle. Here you will spend three hours exploring this wonderful Norman castle, with a Victorian Gothic revival renovation. Then we will pick you back up and drive you to the fairytale Castle; Castell Coch. Spend an hour exploring the castle and grounds. Weather allowing, we will then provide you with a picnic lunch, before heading to the 2nd largest castle in the UK. The medieval Caerphilly Castle. We will give you 3 hours to explore the castle, before returning you back to your hotel. The best bit? Admission too all 3 is included in the tour.

Brecon – Builth Wells – Rhyader
Let us take you on a tour to Mid Wales. Heading north out of Cardiff, we will go past historic Merthyr Tydfil, the former largest town in Wales, before heading into the breath taking Brecon Beacons national Park. Past the highest mountain in South Wales, Pen y Fan, before we arrive in the market town of Brecon. We will leave you to explore this pretty town for an hour or so, before meeting you again. The tour then continues through some of the best scenery you will see, before arriving in Builth Wells, home of the Royal Welsh Showground. We will stop for another hour to let you stretch your legs and take some photo’s in the picturesque town. Finally we will take you to Rhyader a short drive up the road. We will leave you on your own for another hour, before heading back to your hotel.

Abergavenny – Tintern Abbey
We will head up through the Welsh Countryside and take you to the market town of Abergavenny on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. We will leave you for 2 hours to explore the market town. Afterwards we will go past Raglan Castle and towards Tintern Abbey near Chepstow, where you can explore the ruins of the 12th Century Abbey for another 2 hours.

Crickhowell – Hay on Wye – Brecon*
Another tour up through the Brecon Beacons to town of Crickhowell, before visiting the world famous Hay on Wye on the Wales / England Border. After 2 hours to explore Hay on Wye, we head back towards Cardiff via Brecon on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. This tour also gives your an hour in each of Crickhowell and Brecon.

Crickhowell – Brecon – Sennybridge – Ystradfellte
Once more a that tour heads towards Crickhowell initially, before heading further into the Brecon Beacons, and heading towards Brecon. From Brecon we will head along the edge of the Brecon Beacons towards Sennybridge, and back through the Brecon Beacons. We will stop at numerous places throughout the day. Including an hour in Crickhowell, and another hour in Brecon.

Sennybridge – Cymmer – Port Talbot
We will head north up through the Brecon Beacons to Sennybridge, a village near the third largest training base of the MOD. From here we will head south through the Brecon Beacons past Dan yr Ogof National Showcaves. Then towards Tower Coilliery, the oldest continually worked deep coal mine in the UK. The tour will go over the Rhigos Mountain, before heading through Afan Forest Park towards Port Talbot and returning. As with all our longer tours, there will be plenty of time to stop and explore through out the tour, and your driver guide will suggest places through out the day

The Gower peninsula home to some of the best beaches, not just in Wales, but in the world. The Penninsula has 4 Blue Flag beaches, and a further 5 Green Coast Award beaches. The Gower has a further 11 other beaches, and is classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Meaning plenty of photo opportunities.

Ogmore Vale – Ystradgynlais – Llandeilo – Sennybridge
Our longest “off the shelf” tour in terms of distance covered, and time spent in the vehicle. We will take you through Ogmore Vale, before heading to Neath past Afan Forest. towards Ystradgynlais and onto Llandeilo on the Western most part of the Brecon Beacons. From here, we will then head towards Sennybridge and back through the Brecon Beacons. Unlike other tours, we do not have any designated stops on this tour, however there will be time for plenty of stops throughout the day for you to explore and take photos.

Ogmore – Porthcawl
By contrast Ogmore – Porthcawl is the shortest “off the shelf” tour we offer. We will head east towards Southendown via Llantwit Major and St Donats. From Southerndown we will drive along the cost to Ogmore by Sea, taking in the Grade 1 remains of Ogmore Castle, before heading to the seaside town of Porthcawl. From here we will go through the sand dunes of Kenfig Nature reserve before returning.

We can adapt & amend any of these tours in anyway you wish. Maybe you would like to combine Gower with Ogmore – Porthcawl. Maybe you would like to go to Crickhowell AND Abergavenny on the same tour. Or Abergavenny and Hay on Wye. No matter what you want to change, we can tailor a tour to your wishes.
Lunches and refreshments
All tours our South Wales Tours include complimentary snacks and refreshments, with a picnic lunch for two provided for all tours over 5 hours. Additional lunches are available are £5.00 per person. If you have any specific dietary requirements, or allergies, these MUST be advised at the time of booking.
With the exception of the Three Castles tour, we would recommend a maximum of 3 people on our tours due to comfort.
